David Newton 2019

My pictorial review of David Newton’s Lizard canaries is a perennial favourite, so I make no apologies for adding photos of his 2019 crop to my blog.  David has the smallest stud of any of the world’s top breeders, usually just 6 pairs.   His stud may be low in number, but it is high in quality.  In 2019, his birds helped to produce winners of major shows as far north as Scotland and as far south as Spain.

This year he bred 20 Lizards.  Eleven of them proved to be silver males!  The birds you see here are the ones he intends to retain for his 2020 breeding team.

  1. As usual from David, a stunning team of birds from a lovely genuine guy, long may his successes continue, all my winners this year are Newton Evans crosses

Blood always tells, origin always shows through, the darkness of his birds tells its own story

Great photos, thanks for letting us all see them

  2. Wow……Absolutely stunning!!!! I admire David’s birds every year, only to dream of having a stud of this quality ……
